何年もの間IT Managerとして働いた後、自分で管理出来、より信頼の出来るComputerが必要とされる自由契約の経営相談、執筆の仕事に移りました。MacこそがそのMachineでした。

しかしながら、Windowsの世界からPlatformを切り替える事にためらっていた時があったという事を告白します。しかし、PCからMacに切り替える事に関する危険性は、皆でたらめでした。Mac OS Xは、より早く、より安定してい、今まで使ってきた何よりもずっと魅力的であり、私は、目を覚まし、すぐにMacを導入しました。最も驚いた事の一つは、PCにあったFileを新しいMacに移す事がとても簡単であった事です。PCのHard Driveには、Microsoft WordのDocument、PowerPointのPresentation、動画File、Audio Fileなどがたくさんありました。しかし、それらを新しいMacに移すと、ありとあらゆるFIleが見事に開きました。

唯一の問題点？それは、正直にPCを売るのが困難であった事ですかね。なぜPCを売りたいかと聞かれた時、「Macを買うから。Macは、PCよりも遙かに優れているから。」と言うことが出来ませんでした。粗悪な製品をわざわざ引き取ってくれる人達にそんな事を言えないでしょ？

After working as an IT manager for a number of years, I recently made the move to freelance business consulting and writing and needed a more reliable computer that I could manage on my own. The Mac was that machine.

I'll readily confess, however, that there were moments of hesitation about switching platforms after coming from the Windows world. I was terrified, actually.

But everything that I'd heard about the dangers of switching from another user experience to a Mac was just not true. OS X is faster, more stable, and a lot prettier than anything I'd ever used before, and I was up and running in no time. One of the most surprising things was how effortless it was to transfer my files over to the new Mac. I had a tons of Microsoft Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, movie files and audio files floating around on my PC's hard drive. But when I put them into my new Macintosh, every single file opened flawlessly.

The only catch? It was hard to sell my PC with integrity. Because when people asked me why I wanted to sell it, I couldn't say, “It's because I'm getting a Mac, and Macs are so much better.” You can't just say that to people who are about to buy an inferior product, now can you?
