| I'm a professional surfer.
When I first got a Mac, a couple of friends told me, “Oh, don't get a Mac. We have PCs and they're great.” I got my Mac, and they said, “Oh, you made a mistake.” I saw my friends a few weeks ago, and they were buying Macs.
My Mac is so easy and friendly and simple.
On the Mac, I work on designs until late at night. I'll work on drawing up new fin designs and floral designs for the fins and shapes. Also, I make board designs and write notes about my equipment.
I use it to do my e-mail. I store all my photos. I love having real photos, but I can't take my real photos with me everywhere around the world. So I just store all my digital photos. I have a huge scrapbook of all my friends from around the world in there. I have videos of all my friends surfing. Music from all my friends. All my favorite CDs. I have a thousand CDs or more in my computer. I have everything to keep me company while I'm on the road on my computer, except for my girlfriend, but I bring her to carry it.
A month or two ago and I went to Australia and a friend of mine took a bunch of surf footage of me. We edited a 10-minute video in about an hour because the iMovie program is so simple to use. We put music to it and edited it to the music and I put captions in. I've never done that stuff before.
I saw the G4 for the first time in Tokyo, actually. A friend and I were looking at, just freaking out about this computer. We were just thinking, can it get any better than this? Can it get any better? Then they put the CD burner in it, and that was about it for me. And the DVD burner, and it's got everything I need. I could spend all day not leaving the house and use my computer and have a great time.
The Mac is simple. It's easy to use. It's fun. It looks good.
I work with video and pictures and music and it's just all the fun things put all into one for me.
